NATO Workshop on Military Deception Technologies
On January 14–15, 2026, a NATO research workshop focused on military deception technologies was jointly organized by armasuisse and the NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO). The event brought together more than 90 experts from defense research institutions, industry, and government organizations.
JISR Institute, a.s. actively participated in the workshop together with its partner company Kubíček Decoy. The joint presentation featured the CV-90 decoy system equipped with JISR Institute’s RF signature module. This technology enables realistic replication of the electromagnetic footprint of the simulated platform, significantly extending deception capabilities beyond purely visual imitation.
Technical discussions focused on both the current state of the art and future challenges in the field of deception technologies. Key topics included new materials, manufacturing processes, effectiveness assessment methods, and the deployment of deception measures in modern multi-domain operational environments.
The workshop clearly confirmed the growing importance of multi-layered decoy systems as a critical tool for force protection and for complicating adversary decision-making processes. These capabilities are becoming an integral part of modern NATO and national defense architectures.
Participation in this event further reinforces JISR Institute’s long-term commitment to the development of advanced sensor and deception technologies for defense and security applications.
