Bold Quest 2026 Exercise
From 24 August to 11 September 2026, JISR Institute participated in the international experimental exercise Bold Quest 2026, held at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center in Michigan, USA.
Bold Quest is an important international platform for validating the interoperability of military systems, technologies and operational procedures. The exercise brings together capabilities across multiple operational domains, focusing on the effective collection, processing, assessment and sharing of information in a multinational environment.
JISR Institute contributed to the exercise by providing technical support to Allied participants and testing capabilities related to electronic warfare, cooperative data processing and information sharing. Particular attention was given to CESMO (Cooperative Electronic Support Measure Operations) and CSD (Coalition Shared Database).
CESMO provides a standardized approach to cooperative Electronic Support Measures (ESM) operations. It enables the coordination of participating assets, the exchange of information and the development of shared situational awareness within the electromagnetic spectrum. CSD supports the sharing and availability of relevant information within the coalition environment.
The ability to connect different systems, exchange information among Allied participants and effectively use this information to support decision-making is one of the key requirements of modern military operations. In the electronic warfare domain, this is particularly important, as individual sensors and platforms must be able to cooperate within a broader operational architecture.
Participation in Bold Quest 2026 provided an opportunity to validate our technologies in an international environment, cooperate with Allied partners and gain practical insights to support the further development of interoperable solutions.
JISR Institute has long focused on electronic warfare command and control systems, CESMO network management, data integration and interoperability. Exercises of this kind provide an important opportunity to validate these capabilities under conditions reflecting the actual requirements of multinational operations.
We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to this important international activity and to support the continued development of interoperable electronic warfare capabilities and information sharing among Allied partners.
